I have created this blog for a number of reasons, including:

• To share opinions on data science and other subjects related to my work in the health sector, that are too pedantic or minutious to share elsewhere.
• To share other more interesting opinions, albeit on subjects on which I am less qualified to speak.
• For the fun of building and publishing very simple static html website. I have experience building web apps and dashboards in R Shiny, but Shiny hides some of the interesting basics.

My non-work interests include cycling (as a fan and for excercise), running and chess. I live in Sydney, Australia with my partner and 3 year old son.
